Why travel with us?

Choosing your travel company is an important decision you have to make as you plan your quest. When you make a little search around, you’ll see why traveling with GreenTraveller and participating in one of its programmes, ensures that you will have the finest and most memorable lifetime travel/ volunteer experience possible in Greece.

Specialty and Experience

The director and staff (tour guides, volunteer facilitators, field trip supervisors etc.) are experienced scientists and volunteer motivators who have first-hand experience in the programmes offered. With years of involvement in management of natural resources, wildlife surveys, natural adventures tours and volunteer engagement we possess resources and insight not available to other tour companies. Look at our tours and volunteer/ education programmes and you will see that they include access to national parks, natural sites of unique beauty and distinctive volunteer and education programmes that no other company offers in Greece. When it comes to nature adventure travel and volunteering in Greece, experience counts!

Experienced Guides and Volunteer/ Student facilitators

We know that a successful and unforgettable trip can only materialise with an extraordinary guide at the helm. That’s why we are proud to have in our company one of the finest naturalist Expedition Leaders in Greece and one of the best guides in the business. Our Volunteer/ Educational supervisors are passionate about their work but also fun and flexible, ensuring volunteers have an incredibly rewarding and memorable personal experience and that each project makes a sustainable and meaningful impact.

Small Groups

We know that responsible nature tourism simply must take place in small groups. That's why our trips average just between four to ten travellers. This not only provides a more comfortable and more personalised nature experience but also ensures a lower environmental impact presence on the special places we visit. We are also aware that a top quality volunteer/ education travel/ placement experience requires small groups. That is why we keep our volunteer groups to a maximum of ten people.

Affordability

One of the main objectives of the GreenTraveller was to provide our guests and volunteers with high quality, safe and yet extremely affordable tours and volunteering/ education opportunities. We are able to achieve this target as we keep low our company expenses and dedicate personal time and energy in all our projects.

Flexibility

Recognising that every guest or volunteer has different expectations from their tour or volunteer placement we work with our programme participants and do our best to ensure that their journey or volunteer experience is what they want, not simply what is described in the brochures and information material.

Support

Support is continuously available to our guests and volunteers from the moment they pay their trip deposit or registration fee until the day they finish their trip or volunteer project. We will provide extensive pre-departure information, in order to best prepare and inform our guests and volunteers and have regular phone or skype contact to ensure their quest is everything they expect it to be.

Safety

While safety can never be totally guaranteed wherever we are in the world, we do our best to ensure your trip is as safe as humanly possible. We choose for our guests’ comfortable accommodation to inspected and licenced hotels and our volunteers/ students are placed in reliable accommodation situations. Furthermore, we provide our international guests 24-hour emergency support, so they can feel comfortable that we are always here to help.
